Apolipoprotein A2
lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2
Apolipoprotein A-II (apo A-II) is the second most abundant HDL protein on HDL, accounting for about 20% of total HDL protein.
Lp-PLA2 (lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2) is a marker of inflammation and can be elevated in any atherosclerosis or even inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis. However, it is predominantly used as a cardiac marker.
