Beta-2-glycoprotein-I antibody screening
Beta-2-glycoprotein I antibodies screening (code B2GLP serum) are part of the diagnostic criteria for determining APS (the antiphospholipid syndrome). This blood test has a higher specificity but lower sensitivity than Cardiolipin antibodies. Its detection is associated with the occurrence of arterial and venous thrombosis and with miscarriages. According to the classification criteria of antiphospholipid syndrome, a positive result should be confirmed by a second determination after 12 weeks.
