THC-COOH CBR test (blood)
THC blood test for CBR control (cannabinoid from serum without gel CANNS + )THC (cannabis) special tube without gel.
method GC/MS*
Cannabinids
If you smoke occasionally, this is still detectable 1 to 3 days after use. If you smoke regularly, however, then this will be detectable 2 weeks to 2 months after use, depending on the amount and how often you have used.
*Gas Chromatography-Mass SpectrometryGC-MS
is a laboratory analysis method that allows a component mixture to be separated into separate components (GC) that can then be detected and identified (MS).
THC (tetrahydrocannabinol)
THC is the active ingredient in cannabis. More than 500 different substances have been found in the plant. About 100 substances belong to the group of cannabinoids. These cannabinoids are only found in the hemp plant. THC is the most important and the only substance that provides the effect of hashish and weed. Two other important cannabinoids are CBD (cannabidiol) and CBN (cannabinol).
Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THC-COOH) is the metabolite of the active ingredient (THC) of cannabis.
No THC and Cannabis has been found in the blood if the following value are less than:
- THC lower than < 1.0 μg/l
- 11-OH-THC less than <1.0 μg/l
- THC carboxylic acid less than <5.0 μg/l (THC-COOH)
How long is cannabis detectable in the body?
Of all the drugs, cannabis (hash or marijuana) can be found in the body the longest. Hash and weed are detectable in the urine for 5 days to 3 weeks. If you smoke a little cannabis sporadically, it is no longer detectable after 4.5 days. If you use hash or weed almost daily for months or years, the cannabis can be detectable in the urine for much longer. In extreme cases this can even be 4 to 5 weeks. Because of individual differences it is difficult to say exactly how long it is detectable.
Your body breaks down substances (metabolism). Each substance has its own breakdown products. Testing for use of hashish or marijuana was done from urine before 2022, but the blood test remains more reliable.
There are a few aspects that are important when it comes to demonstrability.
Half-life
The half-life is the time it takes for the body to halve the concentration of a substance in the blood. For some substances it is very short (alcohol for example), but other substances very long. THC for example has a half-life of several days, depending on how much you use.
Adipose tissue
Adipose tissue is also important with cannabis. This is because cannabis, after it enters the blood, is released into the adipose tissue. Subsequently, the adipose tissue releases the cannabis into the blood very slowly. This is because cannabis is highly soluble in fat, while most other drugs are highly soluble in water.
Release of cannabis through blood to fatty tissue: half-life 30 minutes
,Release of cannabis in fatty tissue to blood: 2 to 7 days.
Because the release of cannabis from adipose tissue to blood is so slow, cannabis remains detectable for such a long time. If you have more fatty tissue, the cannabis can be stored in more fat and it will take longer for it to be released.
Frequency and amount of use
The more often and the more you use the longer cannabis is detectable. This is because more cannabis is stored in the fatty tissue. If you do not use cannabis for a while, at a certain moment all cannabis is out of your body. It is not stored forever.
Positive from second hand smoke of cannabis?
Some people think that you can get a positive result from second hand smoke, however, this chance is extremely small. The study on which this is based took place under very unrealistic conditions. The test subjects were seated in a very small room where it was so smoky that they had to wear goggles to protect their eyes. This then resulted in measurable concentrations, but under normal conditions it will never get to that point.
You don't have to be high to measure use
The effects experienced by the user of hash or weed follow a very different time frame than the measurement in the blood. The user experiences the effects after only a few minutes. These effects last from 2 to 4 hours. From the release of cannabis through the fatty tissue you feel nothing.
