In her practice Fem-vitaal she guides women with various hormonal complaints to a healthy lifestyle. But a consultation with a pregnant woman still remains the most fun and special!
As a midwife she has guided many women in this special phase of their lives; being pregnant and becoming a mother. Still, she felt there was a piece missing. She has always given basic advice on nutrition and lifestyle, but there is more to help women in this important phase of their lives. In her practice, she saw more and more pregnant women with obesity, PCOS, disturbed blood sugars, fatigue and other (vague) complaints. They regularly started motherhood exhausted; a challenging phase in their lives.
"With the insights I gained during various studies, including the Master OERstrong health coach training, I have greatly expanded my knowledge. There is indeed a solution to these symptoms and I love helping women with that! Looking at what is going well and what could be better, in small steps, we strive that you can be healthy(er) pregnant and give the best to your unborn baby. After all, the health of new life begins before birth! Besides that, if you know what a healthy diet and lifestyle is, you can also give this to your children" says Femke.
