Grip on Parkinson's Blood Testing Basics
Grip on Parkinson's Basic Program
(WP29) (2x EDTA) WP29 (S,S,EB,NAF)
separate test kit for Glutathione (GSHG, GSHF, EB)
Glutathione is on separate lab form and separate tube as version b, may be sent in the same envelope though.
For this test, please stop any use of supplementation 4 days before taking the blood. You must also be sober for the blood draw.
This blood test is part of the Grip on Parkinson's program (WP29). This program takes six months to complete. You go through 5 modules completely digitally. You will be guided through the program via an incentive-free portal on slimvitaal.nl. On this portal you can find all kinds of practical tools, tips and background information and ask your Parkinson's coach your questions. As you go through each module, you will receive explanations and instructions in the form of videos, checklists, etc.
Based on the results of this blood test and a number of questionnaires, you will receive personal advice in which, step by step, you will do more and more to combat the underlying causes of Parkinson's disease. The advice is mainly about nutrition, exercise and stimuli to improve the resilience of your body. This is also supported by a digicursus.
Parkinson's is a metabolic disease arising from a multitude of causes. A major component is the insufficient absorption of important nutrients. In all cases, therefore, supplementation is necessary to supplement the deficiencies of certain necessary substances (vitamins, minerals, etc.). Based on the above analysis, you will receive a personal recommendation on which supplementation you need.
A more extensive blood test is also available, which includes measuring brain mineral levels. Brain minerals are an area of concern in most adults, and in Parkinson's people, any deficiency could be an easy win for certain problems.

Glutathione is the main free radical catcher in every cell and especially in brain cells.
Free radicals are waste products that are normally removed by the body itself, but there must be enough active glutathione present.
If there are too many free radicals in the cell, the cell will die prematurely.
To know the active amount of glutathione, the ratio of active glutathione to oxidized glutathione must be determined.
The so-called ratio GSH:GSSG reflects the true status of the active glutathione.
In almost all of my clients this ratio is too low or even reversed. (Then there is more oxidized than active glutathione present).
People with Parkinson's have a disturbed detoxification capacity with regard to the removal of free radicals from the (brain) cell.
With proper nutrition and matching supplementation, this can be greatly improved in 3 months.
Customers of Grip on Parkinson's notice after 3 months on the GoP that they gradually start to feel more energetic.
A higher glutathione status plays a role in this.
