hCG from urine (pregnancy test)
hCG quantitative in urine. hCG, beta-human chorionic gonadotropin.
To determine whether a woman is pregnant.
hCG (human Chorionic Gonadotropin) is the growth factor for the placenta and is produced after fertilization of an egg. An elevated hCG therefore indicates pregnancy and this is what the principle of the pregnancy test is based on. Apart from pregnancy, hCG can also be produced by some tumors.
Results are either positive or negative.
Delivery time
For women in a treatment process, the delivery time is crucial.
Our advice is to order your collection kit in time.
P.S. The determination of HCG (human choriogonadotropin) is a pregnancy test. Therefore, this analysis is only performed on women. As a tumor marker in choriocarcinomas, in germinal ovarian tumors and obligatory in combination with AFP (alpha-1-fetoprotein) in testicular tumors, you should have beta-HCG determined.
