Hepatitis A enough antibodies after vaccination?
Hepatitis A IgG/IgM combo is tested from serum. Also known as Anti-HAV IgG IgM.
You have been vaccinated against hepatitis A (jaundice). There are medical reasons to consider that this vaccination may not provide adequate protection in you, which is why a test is necessary.
Hepatitis A antibody levels are tested by blood tests. This determination is necessary to determine whether the vaccination that was performed on you has worked adequately.
You should perform this test 4 weeks after the vaccination, so the result will be with you no later than 5 weeks after the vaccination. You will receive the results by e-mail: Sometimes there is little time before your departure. Therefore, please forward this result to Home Vaccination as soon as possible (regardless of the result).
The result can be positive or negative.
If the titer is too low (=negative), then Home Vaccination can protect you with an injection of antibodies; You will receive more information about this and a follow-up appointment, if not already made.
If the titer is sufficient (positive), you can travel as far as hepatitis A is concerned without any problems; any follow-up appointment for antibodies will then be canceled.
