HLA-B27 PCR Gentest Bechterew's disease
HLA-B27 (PCR) 5 ml EDTA blood + consent form.
HLA-B27 antigen carriers have the risk of acquiring the following conditions:
In 9% of cases just healthy.
In 90% to 91% of cases have the risk of Bechterew's disease.
In about 79% to 36% Reiter's syndrome or urethro-oculosynovial syndrome (type of arthritis)
In about 67% to 18% Yersinia arthritisIn
about 35% to and 4.5% Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis:
Bechterew's disease is characterized by back pain.
The first Bechterew symptoms usually occur at an age between 20 and 40 years.
In the first phase, Bechterew patients complain mainly of lower back pain and morning stiffness.
As the disease progresses, chronic inflammation affects the entire back and stiffens the spine.
The patient experiences severe back pain, especially at rest and at night, adopts a hunched posture.
However, other complaints and symptoms are also frequent:
- rheumatoid arthritis
- hip pain
- inflammations of the hands, knees and feet (with painful swollen joints)
- inflammation of the joints (hands, knees and feet)
- eye infections
- disorders of the intestinal system (such as Crohn's disease)
- inflammations of the urinary tract
- skin diseases (such as psoriasis)
