Luteinizing Hormone + Follicle Stimulating Hormone
LH + FSH
In men, FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone) and LH (luteinizing hormone) measure the function of the hypothalamic-pituitary-testis axis, which is involved in the regulation of sperm production and testosterone production.
In women, FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone) and LH (luteinizing hormone) measure the function of the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis, which is involved in the regulation of the menstrual cycle, ovulation and hormonal balance.
