DONA substitute for PFOA
ADONA (CAS 958445-44-8) is the ammonium salt of perfluoro-4,8-dioxa-3H-nonanoic acid (DONA)
In addition to PFOS, PFOA, HP-GEX, ADONA has recently become available, a substance only found in people exposed to it.
ADONA and is used as a substitute for PFOA in the production of fluoropolymers. The biomarker is DONA because ADONA is physiologically present primarily in this form. DONA is not detected in the serum of unexposed individuals.
The exploratory reference value corresponds to the limit of quantification of our LC-MSMS method of 0.3 pg/1.
